The HorienMedical™ Ovulation Test Strip is a rapid immunochromatographic test for women.

It is used to qualitatively test for luteinizing hormone (LH) in urine, which allows you to detect the time of ovulation, helping to determine your fertile days, which are so important when trying to conceive.

How an ovulation test works:

• The LH hormone is produced by the anterior pituitary gland and its level changes during the menstrual cycle
• Under the influence of this hormone, mechanisms are activated in the body that cause the follicle to rupture and release the egg that, after fertilization, will develop into a pregnancy. The level of the LH hormone is highest just before ovulation and its maximum concentration occurs approximately 24-36 hours before ovulation. The test therefore allows you to determine when the probability of becoming pregnant is highest
• An ovulation test is called a fertility test because it allows you to determine when a woman is most fertile. It is primarily intended for couples who have problems conceiving, as it allows you to accurately determine the date of ovulation and intercourse before the time of ovulation, thus increasing the probability of becoming pregnant
• The HorienMedical™ ovulation test is intended for home use, but can also be used by professional users. Detects the hormone LH at a concentration of 25 mIU/ml and above. It is very simple and quick to do. Simply immerse the test strip vertically in a fresh urine sample and read the result after 10 minutes. The result obtained is very accurate: its laboratory reliability is over 99%.

How to use:

• To start the test, you must determine the average length of your cycle (number of days from the first day of menstruation to the last day before menstruation), which will allow you to determine the date on which you should start the test
• Bring the product to a closed container at room temperature
• Remove the strip from the package
• Immerse the strip in the urine with the end of the arrow pointing towards the container with the freshly collected sample
• Do not cover the strip beyond the point of maximum immersion
• After at least 15 seconds, remove the strip from the cup and place it on a clean, non-absorbent surface
• Read the result after 10 minutes
• Discard the test kit immediately after a single use.

How to read your HorienMedical™ Ovulation Test result:

Positive result:

• Both the test and control lines are visible and the test line is brighter than or equal to the control line
• This means that ovulation is expected to occur within the next 24-48 hours.

Negative result:

• One or two burgundy lines appear in the control area, but the test line is less visible than the control line, which means that ovulation has not yet occurred.

Incorrect result:

• If the control line does not appear at all, even though the test line appears
• Please test again
• An incorrect result may be caused by the test strip not being adequately saturated or by the result being read too early or too late.

Precautions:

• To obtain a reliable test result, the test must be performed correctly, so always read the enclosed instructions carefully
• The material to be analyzed is the woman's urine, but it should be remembered that the LH test should not be performed using morning urine
• Urine can be collected in the evening, for example around 10 pm, because this is when the concentration of luteinizing hormone in the blood is highest
• About two hours before the test, you should limit your fluid intake
• The test is performed a few days before the expected ovulation
• The test kit can be stored at room temperature in a tightly closed bag
• Test kits should be kept away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat
• Do not freeze.
