Lentils are one of the oldest leguminous plants, cultivated alongside wheat, barley, peas and flax, originating from the Near East.
Red Lentils are a source of fibers, proteins, minerals, nutrients, necessary for the body during this period, when the immune system has nothing to lose.
Red Lentils help with better digestion, thanks to the fiber content, and are very easy to digest, and can be prepared as a main dish, even for dinner.
Being rich in vitamins (A, C, E, K and vitamin B complex), Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, amino acids and antioxidants, it can easily be part of a vegan, vegetarian or lacto-vegetarian diet.

Administration
Vitally Red Lentils require washing before boiling, they can be left to soak even overnight, and before preparing it it is advisable to discard the water in which it has been overnight, thus eliminating the flatulence effect.
To boil lentils, use 3 cups of liquid for every cup of lentils.
Lentils are delicious to add to salads after they have been cooked, in combinations with peppers or donuts, olive oil and spices.
It tastes just as good if you eat it with rice or if you decide to make a lentil soup.
Store in cool, dry places, away from light and solar heat.
