Maitake (Grifola frondosa), known as the ‘Dancing Mushroom’, is a medicinal mushroom with a long history in traditional Japanese and Chinese medicine. It is used to support the immune, cardiovascular and pulmonary systems, and also has beneficial properties for mental function.
Due to its high content of β-glucans, the Maitake medicinal mushroom has been the subject of scientific studies that have highlighted its immunomodulatory potential and its role as an adjuvant in various proliferative disorders.
Forms of release
Maitake medicinal mushroom is available in various pharmaceutical forms, but the most commonly used is capsules, due to their increased bioavailability.
The Maitake Dancing Mushroom product from DVR Pharm is formulated in capsule form, containing standardised Maitake extract, along with powders and essential oils to enhance the therapeutic effects.
The Maitake D-Fraction variant from Secom also includes a combination of mushroom powder (600 mg/dose) and patented PD-Fraction® standardised Maitake extract (40 mg/dose), ensuring increased effectiveness in stimulating immunity.
