Hyalone

Hyalone is available as a sterile, viscoelastic injectable solution with a concentration of 1.5% hyaluronic acid. The product is supplied in a 60 mg/4 ml pre-filled syringe ready to use for intra-articular administration. 

The delivery form ensures precise and efficient administration, eliminating the need for additional handling.

Hyalone is used for the treatment of degenerative or mechanical arthropathies, particularly osteoarthritis of the knee and hip. These conditions involve damage to the synovial fluid, leading to increased friction between joint surfaces and pain during movement. 

Hyalone acts as a temporary substitute for synovial fluid, helping to:

• Improve joint mobility
• Reducing pain on movement
• Effective lubrication of areas with severe cartilage destruction
• Restoring the viscoelastic properties of synovial fluid
• Reduced friction between joint surfaces.

It is mainly used for the treatment of knee and hip arthritis, where the synovial fluid is affected, causing stiffness, discomfort and pain on movement. Hyalone is also useful for people who are contra-indicated for surgery or those undergoing physical rehabilitation procedures.

The recommended dose is a single intra-articular injection using a pre-filled syringe (60 mg/4 ml), administered by qualified medical personnel. 

Hyalone is designed to provide a long-term therapeutic effect without the need for frequent administration. Its effects may persist for several months, but the exact duration may vary depending on the severity of the condition and the individual characteristics of the patient.

Hyalone is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid or to any of the components of the injectable solution. 

It should also not be used in patients with active synovitis or skin infections at the injection site.

Important! The product should only be administered by qualified medical personnel under close supervision using a suitable sterile syringe needle.

Injection should be carried out directly into the intra-articular space, avoiding inadvertent injection into neighboring tissues. 

Like any injectable procedure, taking Hyalone can cause local side effects such as pain, swelling, redness or warmth at the injection site. These symptoms are usually temporary and go away on their own in a few days. 

No significant drug interactions have been observed with Hyalone. However, it is recommended that patients inform their doctor of any other drug treatment they are taking to prevent possible complications.

To prevent possible interactions, avoid co-administration of Hyalone with other intra-articular products, for example corticosteroids.

To date, no cases of overdose with Hyalone have been reported. Given its intra-articular administration and well-defined concentration, the risk of overdose is extremely low.

However, if an excessive amount is suspected, the patient should be monitored for possible side effects and appropriate symptomatic treatment should be given.

Hyalone should be stored at temperatures below 25°C, away from direct light and frost. The product should not be used if it has been exposed to extreme temperatures or if the packaging is damaged. The shelf life indicated on the packaging must be strictly observed and the solution must be used immediately after opening the syringe. Keep out of the reach of children.
