Inofem

The Inofem range is available in sachets or chewable tablets.

Inofem Duo – box of 60 sachets, each containing a soluble powder with a pleasant raspberry flavour. The formula includes myo-inositol (2000 mg), d-chiro-inositol (250 mg), L-arginine (125 mg), an active folate complex (200 µg), vitamin D3 (25 µg), vitamin B6 (1.3 mg) and vitamin B12 (2 µg).

Inofem Plus – box of 30 sachets, with citrus flavour, containing myo-inositol (2000 mg), d-chiro-inositol (200 mg), N-acetylcysteine (300 mg), Vitex agnus-castus extract (500 mg), active folic acid (400 µg) and melatonin (3 mg).

Both products are intended for oral administration by dissolving the contents of one sachet in 200 ml of cold water.

Inofem Duo and Inofem Plus are recommended for:

• Polycystic ovary syndrome, by regulating the LH/FSH ratio and reducing hyperandrogenism;
• Ovulation disorders and irregular cycles, by restoring insulin receptor sensitivity and regulating gonadotropin secretion;
• Preparing the body for pregnancy and supporting in vitro fertilisation (IVF) programmes;
• Hormonal imbalances caused by stress, insulin resistance or thyroid disorders;
• Premenstrual syndrome and premenstrual dysphoric disorder, due to the calming effect of Vitex agnus-castus and melatonin;
• Hyperprolactinemia and low progesterone levels, frequently associated with infertility;
• Support for oocyte health and endometrial quality.

The usual dose for adults is:

• Inofem Duo: 1 sachet 1–2 times a day;
• Inofem Plus: 1 sachet per day.

The powder is dissolved in a glass of cold water (200 ml) and is preferably taken on an empty stomach, usually in the morning.

The optimal duration of administration is at least 3 months, depending on the doctor's recommendation, as the effects on hormonal and ovulatory regulation become more noticeable over time.

Inofem is contraindicated in people who are hypersensitive to any of the active ingredients or excipients.

It is not recommended for use in children and adolescents without a doctor's advice.

Pregnant or breastfeeding women should seek medical advice before use to adjust the dosage.

Administration should be accompanied by a balanced diet rich in vegetables, quality protein and omega-3 fatty acids.

It is recommended to avoid refined sugars and moderate physical activity to improve metabolic response.

It can also be introduced into in vitro fertilisation (IVF) programmes to increase egg quality and ovarian response.

Inofem is well tolerated when taken orally. In rare cases, mild reactions may occur, such as:

• Transient nausea or gastric discomfort;
• Mild headache;
• Drowsiness (especially for the Plus formula, due to melatonin);
• Allergic skin reactions in sensitive individuals.

The effects are usually self-limiting and disappear when the dose is reduced or administration is discontinued.

Concomitant use with sedatives, hypnotics or alcohol is not recommended, especially for Inofem Plus (melatonin).

The supplement does not affect the absorption of other vitamins or minerals and can be taken together with probiotics or zinc, selenium and omega-3 fatty acid supplements, depending on metabolic needs.

No cases of severe overdose have been reported to date. Taking high doses may cause minor gastrointestinal disturbances or increased drowsiness. In case of accidental ingestion of large amounts, medical monitoring and symptomatic treatment are recommended.

The product should be stored in its original packaging, in a dry and cool place, away from direct sunlight, at a temperature below 25°C, out of the reach of small children.

Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
