Description ProBleu
The information in the FAQ section was created by the Liki24.fr team and is based on the official manufacturer's manual
ProBleu is a modern probiotic, formulated with a dual composition that combines both Bacillus clausii bacterial spores and Saccharomyces boulardii probiotic yeast, two microorganisms with proven efficacy in maintaining the balance of the gut microbiota, particularly during antibiotic treatments or in cases of digestive disorders. The efficacy of this product stems from the complementary nature of the two strains, known for their ability to traverse the acidic gastrointestinal environment, temporarily colonise the gut and support the intestinal mucosal barrier, thereby helping to prevent dysbiosis and restore digestive homeostasis.
Dosage forms
ProBleu is available in oral capsules, packaged in blister packs of 10 capsules, which allow for a simple dosing regimen suitable for both use alongside antibiotics and for preventive or therapeutic treatment.
The formulation is designed to ensure the stability of the microorganisms, protect them from the action of gastric juices and ensure optimal release in the intestine, where they exert their beneficial effects.
Indications for use
ProBleu is recommended in various clinical situations where the balance of the intestinal flora may be compromised:
- Prevention and improvement of antibiotic-induced dysbiosis, as the product can be administered concurrently with antibiotic treatment without compromising its efficacy.
- Intestinal transit disorders, including episodes of acute diarrhoea, antibiotic-associated diarrhoea, bloating or abdominal discomfort.
- Support for normal gut flora, particularly in people with a stressful lifestyle, an unbalanced diet or those exposed to repeated digestive stress.
- Rebalancing of the microbiota in cases of intestinal inflammation or following periods of gastrointestinal infection.
Dosage regimen
According to the manufacturer’s recommendations, ProBleu probiotic should be taken as follows: 1 capsule per day, to reduce the risk of dysbiosis and digestive disorders associated with antibiotic treatment.
The capsules should be swallowed whole with a glass of water, without chewing or opening them, to protect the integrity of the microorganisms.
Contraindications
ProBleu probiotic is contraindicated in the following situations:
- Known allergy to any of the product’s components, including the probiotic strains used.
- Severely immunocompromised patients, those undergoing immunosuppressive treatment or with a venous catheter, in whom the use of probiotic strains, particularly yeasts, must be assessed with caution.
Special considerations
In cases of severe acute diarrhoea, fever or signs of dehydration, the use of ProBleu must be integrated into a broader treatment plan, with adequate hydration and medical assessment.
It may be used in adults and children able to swallow capsules; for paediatric use, it is recommended to consult a doctor.
Side effects
ProBleu has an excellent tolerability profile, but mild and transient adverse reactions may occasionally occur, such as:
- initial bloating,
- mild changes in bowel movements,
- moderate abdominal discomfort.
In rare cases, allergic reactions may occur, manifesting as skin rashes, itching or respiratory symptoms; in such cases, treatment must be stopped immediately and it is recommended that you consult a doctor.
Interactions with other medicines and food
No significant interactions with most medicines have been reported; however, systemic antifungals (e.g. fluconazole, ketoconazole) may inactivate Saccharomyces boulardii, reducing the probiotic’s efficacy.
Food does not affect the absorption or efficacy of the product, although taking it with meals may improve digestive tolerance.
Overdose
Overdose is unlikely due to the safety profile of probiotic microorganisms. Taking a larger number of capsules may, at most, lead to a temporary increase in digestive symptoms, such as flatulence or abdominal discomfort, but there is no evidence to suggest serious systemic effects.
If you experience any unusual symptoms, you should stop taking the product and seek medical advice.
Storage conditions
To maintain the viability of the probiotic strains, ProBleu probiotic should be stored as follows:
- at room temperature, away from moisture and direct light;
- in the original, tightly sealed packaging;
- do not freeze;
- keep out of reach of children;
- do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
