Reviken

Reviken is available as a protective cream ointment in a 40-gram tube. This pharmaceutical form is ideal for topical application, providing good adhesion to the skin and forming a protective layer that helps maintain moisture and isolate the affected area from aggressive environmental factors.

Reviken is indicated for the local treatment of the following conditions:

• Dry eczema – the emollient, anti-inflammatory and soothing effect helps to reduce itching and discomfort;
• Nappy rash – thanks to its protective and astringent action, the ointment forms a barrier that prevents further irritation;
• Superficial skin lesions – such as excoriations or scratches, where the product supports epidermal regeneration;
• Frostbite – by stimulating microcirculation and preventing infection;
• Limited superficial burns – acts as a semi-permeable dressing that reduces the risk of superinfection and supports healing.

Reviken ointment is easy to use and suitable for daily use. Recommended use:

• Apply 2-3 times a day in a thin layer to the affected areas of skin.
• The skin should be cleaned beforehand to ensure the effectiveness of the active ingredients;
• Gently massage the area until the product is partially absorbed, avoiding excessive rubbing.

The use of Reviken ointment is contraindicated in the following situations:

• Known hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients or excipients: ichthyol, hamamelis, zinc oxide, sodium tetraborate, lanolin, petrolatum, etc.;
• Moist dermatoses or exudative skin lesions, where the application of a fatty ointment may worsen the local condition;
• Superinfected lesions, as the product does not have a strong antimicrobial action.

Reviken is for external use only.

Do not apply to cavities, mucous membranes or near the eyes. In case of accidental contact with the eyes, it is recommended to rinse thoroughly with water.

The duration of treatment may vary depending on the severity of the condition, but it is recommended that application be continued until symptoms have completely subsided.

Reviken is generally well tolerated, but in rare cases the following may occur:

• Contact dermatitis – manifested by reddening of the skin, itching or local discomfort;
• Photosensitivity reactions – especially when exposed to sunlight immediately after application.

If any adverse effects occur, use of the product should be discontinued and a dermatologist should be consulted.

To date, no significant drug interactions have been reported with Reviken. Due to its low systemic absorption, the product has a low risk of influencing concomitant systemic treatments.

However, it is prudent to avoid simultaneous application with other topical products on the same area to prevent possible local reactions.

Overdose with Reviken is unlikely, given its topical use and low concentrations of active substances. However, excessive application or use on large areas of skin, especially on broken skin, may increase the risk of local or systemic reactions, particularly in sensitive individuals. In such cases, treatment should be discontinued and medical advice sought.

To maintain the product's effectiveness, Reviken should be stored at a temperature between 15°C and 25°C in the original tube, tightly closed. Avoid exposure to direct light and excessive heat. Keep out of reach of children.

Do not use the product after the expiry date stated on the packaging. Once opened, use within the period specified by the manufacturer to avoid contamination.
