Description
The Aztecs valued them more than gold because they used them as currency, while gold was only used for aesthetic purposes. For example, a slave could be bought for 100 cocoa beans, a rabbit for 10.
Our cocoa is produced in RAW quality. The cocoa beans are not roasted, but after fermentation, drying and cleaning, they are ground straight and partially freed from the cocoa butter using a press.
Thanks to this gentle processing, the maximum amount of beneficial substances remains in the cocoa powder. 100 g of cocoa contains, for example, 125% of the reference value of potassium intake, more than 100% of phosphorus, iron and magnesium and almost 65% of zinc.
Our fine cocoa powder has a full, lightly spiced flavor with less bitterness. It is used just like regular cocoa from roasted beans for cooking, baking desserts or making homemade chocolate, hot drinks or ice cream. For the use of cocoa powder, you can be inspired by our tasty and simple recipes.
