Each capsule contains betulin - a compound obtained from silver birch bark ( Betula pendula ) - combined with cyclodextrin that increases the solubility and bioavailability of betulin and vitamin B1, i.e. thiamine.
- Betulin, as a natural plant compound, is insoluble in water and difficult for the body to access for internal use. The addition of γ-cyclodextrins increases the solubility and thus the bioavailability of betulin.
