Description
Dulcobis ® is a drug in the form of enteric coated tablets with local action. The active substance of the preparation is bisacodyl ( Bisacodylum ) with a mild but effective laxative effect. The use of the drug softens the stool and stimulates intestinal peristalsis, which leads to defecation. Bisacodyl is not absorbed directly from the small intestine and its effect occurs 6 hours after oral administration (between 6 and 12 hours after administration).
The indication for the use of Dulcobis ® is the short-term symptomatic treatment. The preparation can also be used to prepare for examinations, before and after operations, and in conditions that require easier bowel movements. Dulcobis ® gastro-resistant tablets can be taken by adults and children 4 years of age and older.
