- Prepare a warm cover by heating it in a warm bath to 60 °C
- Prepare the cold cover by placing it in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours
Due to the recommended temperatures and the temperature resistance of the material, there is no risk of injury to the patient or medical staff when used correctly. Recommended temperatures are within the tolerance range of living tissues.
The dressing should be applied for 20 minutes, then wait about 30 minutes before the next application. It is recommended that the compress be covered with a cloth scarf before applying it to the skin. Heat or cold efficiency can be increased, for example, by wrapping with another textile layer.
