How does Epicyn work on scars?
Epicyn silicone hydrogel can be used on post-surgical, post-traumatic, acne and insect bite scars. Thanks to it, raised and discolored scars become smoother, less visible, with a color and texture closer to the natural appearance of the skin.
The operation of the product is based on the properties of silicone using the patented Microcyn Technology. The main ingredients of hydrogel for scars are:
- hypochlorous acid,
- sodium hypochlorite.
These substances are produced by the body's immune system as a defense measure.
The silicone-based product has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. It also improves scar vascularization by increasing capillary perfusion. Epicyn is hypoallergenic, non-irritating and has a neutral pH. The odorless hydrogel is light and breathable.
