Description
Ferivag vaginal capsules are used as an adjuvant in the treatment and prevention of vaginal infections. The medical device is suitable for intimate infections such as: bacterial, viral and fungal (candidiasis), vaginitis and inflammation of the cervix. It can also be used in all cases of temporary imbalance of the vaginal microflora.

The medical device Ferivag contains Apo-lactoferrin LT - a form of lactoferrin in liposomes in powder form in the amount of 100 for each vaginal capsule. It is a substance with strong antibacterial , antifungal and antiviral properties.
The antimicrobial and antifungal properties of apolactoferrin result from its ability to bind free iron (Fe 3+ ), which is necessary for the growth and multiplication of microorganisms in the vaginal environment. The antiviral effect is based on binding to the glycosaminoglycans of the cell membrane. Due to this fact, it protects the cell against the penetration of viruses and stops the development of infection.
