DigeZyme is a mixture of 5 types of enzymes - amylase, protease, lactase, lipase and cellulase , which support healthy digestion, the absorption of nutrients (proteins, carbohydrates and fats) and help the body absorb the necessary minerals.

DigeZyme® and its active ingredients

• Amylase is an enzyme produced by the pancreas and salivary glands that breaks down starch into simpler sugars.

• Protease and proteolytic enzymes help digest proteins into amino acids and ensure their absorption and use in the body. Their lack limits the breakdown of proteins, which subsequently undergo putrefaction processes in the large intestine and thus cause digestive problems (bloating, flatulence, diarrhea) . These include the enzymes pancreatin, papain, trypsin, chymotrypsin and bromelain.

• Lactase is an enzyme that breaks down lactose (milk sugar) into glucose and galactose . It is recommended for people with lactose intolerance, who cannot digest lactose, which leads to bloating, abdominal pain and diarrhea.
• Cellulase is an important enzyme for breaking down fiber-rich foods . It breaks down plant fiber into glucose (a simple sugar). It supports the treatment of digestive problems (eg malabsorption syndrome) , it is not produced in the body and therefore it is necessary to take it in the diet.
• Lipase is a lipolytic enzyme that breaks down fats into glycerol and free fatty acids. They penetrate through the intestinal wall into the blood and liver, where they are subsequently broken down. Lipase controls the amount of fat synthesized in the body and ensures the reduction of fat deposits. Lack of this enzyme is associated with high cholesterol and sugar content.

Lipases, amylases and proteases contribute to better digestion of food and complement the action of digestive enzymes.
