Description
Body oil, 100 ml, Weleda
The body oil is an oil with a light texture and scent of orange and rose flowers that makes the skin silky, enveloping it like a cocoon to increase its elasticity and firmness.
How it works: Almond oil, jojoba and wheat germ (rich in vitamin E) together with arnica extract increase the firmness of the skin, which becomes more elastic, stretching more easily during pregnancy.
A dermatological center in Germany tested the effects of body oil for pregnant women on stretch marks after childbirth. The women who took part in the study had given birth between six months and two years before the study and had stretch marks on their stomach, bottom, breasts and/or thighs.
They applied this oil once or twice a day, leaving a portion of the skin untouched to be used later as a comparison element. After six months, the treated areas showed clearly reduced stretch marks and the skin was visibly smoother than the one that had not been treated.
Method of application: Heat a little oil in the palms, then massaging well with circular movements, to be absorbed by the skin in the area of the belly, legs and buttocks, two or three times a day. You don't have to wait until you feel the baby's movements in your belly - the oil can be used as soon as you find out you're pregnant. Its use can be beneficial for strengthening the contact between you and the baby. Regular application of the oil up to three months after birth can reduce the possibility of stretch marks, bringing the body back into shape.
Indicated for: pregnant women, from the first days of pregnancy to three months after birth.

Reviews
I love this oil, smells good, spreads well, leaves a great feeling on the skin and it is much softer. But a bit expensive.
I bought the oil after receiving a few sample bottles from my sister. It is very economical and is easy to apply. It absorbs well and leaves the skin feeling pleasant. I had incredibly swollen legs and feet when the temperatures were high and my skin was terribly tight, so the oil helped me to relieve the tightness.
The oil is simply wonderful, it smells subtly of the essential oils and is not too overpowering.
I've been using the oil for almost two weeks now and I'm absolutely delighted with it! It cares for my tummy, it feels wonderfully soft and smooth.
I oil my tummy every morning after showering with five pumps and there is still some left in the bottle. So I think the price is totally reasonable! So far I haven't had any cracks or streaks (even if this is also a predisposition of course), I like the smell and the oil is also absorbed to some extent. I leave it on for about 5 minutes before I put on a pair of black leggings, nothing smears.
As a pregnant woman, you naturally worry about the time afterwards and hope that you will be spared those nasty stretch marks. The only thing that has helped so far is to apply cream, cream, cream and pray that your belly doesn't explode from one day to the next. Since Weleda stands for good quality and natural ingredients for me, I decided to use this oil.
The oil is super rich and I only need a few pumps from the pump dispenser to rub it into my stomach, hips and chest. I would recommend using the oil twice a day to get the best results. The fact that it is absorbed super quickly and without a greasy film is of course a real advantage here, as you can get dressed again within a few minutes.
I used Weleda oil during my first pregnancy to protect the skin on my stomach. Of course, it doesn't look quite the same now as it did before, but luckily I didn't get any stretch marks - I assume also thanks to the oil.
I think it fulfills its function as a massage oil to prevent stretch marks as well as other such oils. For some it helps, for others it doesn't. There are certainly many factors that come together and it's not just the oil that makes the difference. I think Weleda Pregnancy Care Oil is a very good oil that pampers the skin with high-quality care. Great as a gift!
The Weleda Pregnancy Care Oil really isn't the cheapest product. But anyone who knows Weleda products knows that they are not dealing with the usual zero-eight-fifteen. Certified natural cosmetics, purely natural ingredients, no animal testing - that costs money, of course. The blend of mild almond and jojoba oil and essential oils has a wonderfully natural and soothing fragrance. In addition, the oil is quickly absorbed and does not leave your hands greasy, yet leaves your skin feeling velvety smooth for a long time.
