What is glutathione?
Glutathione (in Latin: glutathionum ), or more precisely γ-glutamylcysteinylglycine, is an organic chemical compound. It is a tripeptide composed of the amino acid residues of glutamic acid, cysteine and glycine. L-glutathione occurs in all plant and animal organisms. It is the most common thiol, that is, a sulfur-containing compound present in mammalian cells.
