Menopause is a natural process caused by a change in the hormonal balance in a woman's body. Most often , hormonal changes related to menopause begin in women after the age of 45 . However, menopause symptoms generally appear after the age of 55. Irregular menstrual cycles are a sign of premenopause, also known as menopause. As we age, the ovaries become less sensitive to follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH), two hormones that regulate ovulation and menstrual cycles. As a result, the ovaries stop producing estrogen and progesterone, causing estrogen levels to drop and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) levels to rise significantly.

MENO-Check ^® is a specific, rapid immunodiagnostic test recommended for women over 45 years of age to initially assess the onset of premenopause. The menopause test detects the presence of elevated levels of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) in the urine , which indicates menopause. Importantly, a urine container is not required to perform the test. The flux is discharged directly onto the absorbent tip of the test and the result can be read just 10 minutes after the test. The test can be performed on any day of the menstrual cycle and at any time of the day, but the first morning urine contains the highest amount of FSH, which allows the best results.
