What can I sterilize with the Tommee Tippee microwave sterilization bag?
The Tommee Tippee Microwave Sterilization Bag can be used to sterilize breast pumps, bottles, pacifiers, teats and other feeding containers (except bottle brushes and other metal objects). The bag sterilizes up to 2 bottles, a Tommee Tippee manual breast pump, 2 Tommee Tippee silicone pumps or a Tommee Tippee electric pump (washable parts only).
It is ideal for storing your breast pump when you are travelling.
Way of ussage:
1. Wash all items with warm soapy water and rinse well;
2. Pour 60 ml of water into the sterilization bag using the measurement on the Tommee Tippee bottle;
3. Place the items in the sterilizer bag, making sure it is not overloaded;
4. Close the zipper all the way to the stop sign. This ensures that a 5 cm space is left for steam to escape;
5. Place the sterilization bag in the center of the microwave, making sure the bag is vertically placed. Follow the microwave instructions using this guide:
>1100 W 1.5 min
800 – 1100 W 3 min
500 – 750 W 5 min
Be sure to follow the chart above, as heating for longer than the recommended time may result in distortion of the elements inside;
6. Allow contents to cool for at least 2 minutes before removing from microwave;
7. Your bag will be hot after sterilization. Protect your hands with an oven mitt, then remove from the oven holding the cool side of the bag;
8. There is residual water at the bottom of the bag. To remove the water, hold the bag on the cold side as indicated, and pour the water away from you into the sink. Do not completely unzip the bag before removing residual water;
9. Once the residual water is removed, your items will be ready for use. Or you can close the tote bag to carry items. They will remain sterile for up to 24 hours.
10. Check the boxes on the bag after each use to make sure it is used no more than 30 times. After this, we cannot guarantee optimal sterilization;
11. After using the items, you can store the dirty items in the bag for sterilization while you are traveling
12. Before reusing the bag in the microwave, make sure all items and the bag have been cleaned with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
