Properties:

Ingredients:
The rhizomes of the plant Acorus calamus L., fam. Araceae, containing volatile oil with asarona, calamol; tannin; bitter substance; resins; sugars; mucus; mineral salts; vitamins B 1 and C.
Effect:
Stomachic (stimulates the secretion of gastrointestinal juices), carminative (helps eliminate intestinal gases); gastrointestinal antispasmodic; choleretic-cholagic (stimulates the secretion and elimination of bile), diuretic with uric acid elimination, nerve tonic, sedative, vermifuge.
Main uses:
Indigestion; slow digestion; gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcer, bloating, gastrointestinal colic, anorexia.
Other uses:
Neurovegetative disorders manifested by restlessness, anxiety, insomnia, memory disorders, intestinal parasites.
Contraindications:
Pregnancy, breastfeeding, children under 6 years.
Preparation:
A decoction is prepared from half a teaspoon of chopped root to a cup of water.
Administration method:
Gradually drink 1-2 cups of tea a day, before the main meals.
