Ingredients:
The leaves of the Eucalyptus globulus plant, fam. Myrtaceae, contain volatile oil in which the main component is 1,8-cineole.
Effect:
Antiseptic, expectorant, mucolytic, spasmolytic, anti-inflammatory, febrifuge, astringent, hypoglycemic.
Main uses:
Colds, fever, nasal congestion (stuffy nose), cough, pharyngitis, bronchitis.
Other uses:
Bronchial asthma, sinusitis.
Contraindications:
Pregnancy and breast-feeding.
Preparation:
Internal use: infusion of 1 teaspoon of crushed plant to a cup of water.
External use: concentrated infusion of 3-4 tablespoons of chopped plant per 1 liter of water.
Administration method:
Internal use: drink 3-4 cups of tea a day.
External use: gargle
