Types and times of measurement

In the anus (rectally)

This is the most medically accurate measurement method. The tip of the thermometer is carefully inserted max. 2 cm in the anus. The measurement usually takes between 40 and 60 seconds.

In the armpit (axillary)

When using this method, the measurement usually takes about 90 seconds. Please note that, for example, when the armpit is cold, the exact temperature will not be measured. To obtain the most accurate possible measurement result, we recommend extending the measurement time by 5 minutes.

In the oral cavity (oral)

For the most accurate measurement, place the tip of the thermometer under the tongue, to the left or right of the root of the tongue. During the measurement, keep your mouth closed and breathe evenly through your nose. Do not eat or drink immediately before the measurement. The measurement usually takes 60 seconds.

Mode of use

• Press the button to start the measurement.
• The temperature measured on the forehead differs slightly from the temperature in the armpit or mouth (usually 0.1 degrees lower).
• All symbols will appear on the display for two seconds.
• The device will display the last temperature measured for three seconds.
• Then the temperature indicator goes out. You can see the forehead symbol on the display. The device is ready for measurement as soon as the "°C" symbol flashes.
• Place the thermometer according to the chosen measurement.
• Take temperature in the bottom (40-60 seconds), mouth (60 seconds) or armpit (60-90 seconds). For an accurate underarm measurement, we recommend taking the temperature for 5 minutes.
• The result is displayed for five seconds, then the "°C" symbol flashes on the display.

Cleaning and disinfection

The tip of the thermometer is best cleaned with a damp cloth using a disinfectant, e.g. 70% ethyl alcohol.

How to measure the armpit temperature correctly?

There is no average "normal" temperature because every part of the human body has a different temperature. The highest temperature is the so-called core body temperature (ie the temperature inside the body), which varies between 37-38 ºC.

Place the thermometer in the armpit and press the arm against the body.

Take the temperature while sitting or lying down and do not move the arm.

You will measure the exact temperature after 5 minutes.

Clean the sensor with a cloth soaked in alcohol.
