Candisept

Candisept Fares is available in the form of soft capsules, packaged in boxes containing 30 units. This pharmaceutical form allows for rapid and effective absorption of the active ingredients, while also protecting the volatile compounds contained in the essential oils (clove, lemongrass, tea tree). The capsule shell is made from fish gelatin.

Candisept soft capsules are recommended for the prophylaxis and adjuvant treatment of fungal infections caused by fungi of the genus Candida, in particular:

• Oropharyngeal candidiasis, manifested by oral discomfort, the presence of whitish deposits on the mucous membranes, angular cheilitis (lesions at the corners of the mouth), taste alteration (dysgeusia) and difficulty swallowing (dysphagia);
• Vaginal candidiasis, which frequently presents with symptoms such as vulvar pruritus, vaginal sensitivity, leucorrhoea (whitish discharge), vulvodynia and dysuria (painful urination).

Thanks to its natural composition, Candisept capsules also help reduce digestive discomfort associated with the proliferation of intestinal fungi without affecting the physiological bacterial flora.

For adults and children over 10 years of age, the usual recommended dose is 1 capsule twice a day, preferably taken one hour after a meal or between meals, for 15 days. If necessary, the treatment can be repeated, with a 2-week break between treatments.

This therapeutic regimen ensures an optimal balance between the antifungal efficacy and systemic tolerability of the product.

The use of Fares Candisept is contraindicated in the following situations:

• Active gastroduodenal ulcer;
• Acute gastritis;
• Known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the product;
• Children under 10 years of age.

Candisept capsules are distinguished by the fact that they do not alter the intestinal flora, unlike many allopathic antifungals, which can cause intestinal dysbiosis.

In addition, the product has no hepatotoxic effects, as confirmed by clinical tolerability assessments.

This feature makes it suitable for repeated use or as part of prophylactic treatments, especially in patients with compromised immune systems or frequent recurrences of fungal infections.

No significant adverse reactions have been reported at the recommended doses. The product is very well tolerated, making it suitable for people with digestive or hepatic sensitivity.

However, in rare cases, mild gastrointestinal disorders or hypersensitivity reactions (skin rash, itching) may occur, requiring discontinuation of use and medical advice.

According to available data, Candisept Fares does not interfere with concomitantly administered medicines. The essential oils in the composition do not inhibit liver enzymes involved in drug metabolism, which reduces the risk of pharmacokinetic interactions.

A recommended combination for vaginal candidiasis is Ginosept Fares in the form of ovules, for a synergistic effect and accelerated fungal clearance.

Although overdose with Candisept is unlikely, accidental administration of large doses may lead to mild gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting or abdominal discomfort.

In such cases, it is recommended to discontinue administration and initiate symptomatic treatment. There is no specific antidote and treatment is generally supportive.

Candisept should be stored in a dry place, away from light and at room temperature. It is essential that the product is kept away from direct sources of heat or moisture to maintain the stability of the essential oils and therapeutic efficacy. The expiry date is stated on the packaging and should not be exceeded.
