Antalgin

Antalgin Pro Natura is available in the form of capsules, packaged in bottles containing 25 units, dosed appropriately for oral administration. This pharmaceutical form was chosen to ensure optimal absorption of the active substances in the intestine and to provide convenience in administration.

Due to its composition, Antalgin is indicated for a wide range of painful and inflammatory conditions, including:

• Toothache, often associated with inflammatory processes, advanced caries or extractions
• Osteoarticular pain (arthritis, arthrosis, sprains), where the anti-inflammatory activity of the ingredients helps to reduce swelling and joint stiffness
• Muscle pain, especially that associated with overexertion or muscle spasms
• Neuralgia (e.g. trigeminal or intercostal neuralgia), where the product's analgesic action helps to relieve symptoms
• Headache, especially tension-type headache, but also migraine
• Dysmenorrhoea, accompanied by pelvic pain and uterine cramps
• Adjuvant in the treatment of upper respiratory tract infections such as rhinitis, sinusitis, tonsillitis or tracheobronchitis
• Fever, due to the antipyretic effect of the salicylic compounds present in willow bark.

The recommended dose is 2-3 capsules taken 3 times a day, depending on the intensity of the symptoms and the individual response to treatment. It is best taken with meals to aid digestion and reduce any stomach discomfort.

The duration of administration is flexible, being recommended until the symptoms disappear completely, without exceeding long periods of use without medical advice.

Despite its natural profile, Antalgin has a number of contraindications that should be taken into account:

• Hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients or excipients;
• Active gastric or duodenal ulcers, due to the irritating potential of salicylic compounds;
• Coagulation disorders or concomitant anticoagulant treatments, given the potential inhibitory effect of salicin on platelet aggregation;

Antalgin stands out for its synergistic phytochemical profile, in which extracts of Harpagophytum and Salix alba act complementarily. Devil's claw has documented antirheumatic and analgesic action, while willow bark contains salicylic heterosides with anti-inflammatory action.

It is recommended to integrate its administration into a healthy lifestyle, with a balanced diet, regular exercise and good sleep hygiene.

Although rare, some adverse effects may occur with improper use or individual sensitivity: gastrointestinal disorders (epigastric burning, nausea, abdominal discomfort), skin allergic reactions (rash, itching) and, in isolated cases, dizziness or mild drowsiness.

If any unusual reactions occur, discontinue use and consult your doctor.

Due to the presence of salicin in its composition, Antalgin may interact with oral anticoagulants (e.g. warfarin) or antiplatelet medicines (e.g. acetylsalicylic acid).

No significant interactions with food have been reported, but alcohol should be avoided during treatment to reduce the potential for gastric irritation and liver interactions.

If an excessive number of capsules are ingested, symptoms such as the following may occur:

• Severe nausea
• Vomiting
• Abdominal pain
• Dizziness or hypotension

In case of overdose, symptomatic treatment and emergency medical attention are recommended.

The product should be stored in a dry place, away from direct light and excessive heat, at temperatures below 25°C. Keep out of the reach of children. It is recommended to observe the expiry date printed on the packaging.
