The Nanny BM-02 differs from most common breathing monitors in that it is certified as a medical device . It has been tested in maternity hospitals and children's wards of various hospitals.

The Nanny breathing monitor consists of two parts, a detection device and an evaluation unit. The detection pad is placed under the mattress in the child's crib. The evaluation unit is attached to the bed or wall. Nanny is powered by pencil batteries. It does not connect to the mains and is therefore not dangerous for the child.

The sensor board starts detecting all the baby's movements immediately after switching on (it can monitor even very subtle movements). A midwife can assess for a dangerous drop in a baby's breathing rate caused by birth defects, disease, weakening of the body in low birth weight babies, or allergic reactions.

If the child does not breathe for 20 seconds or if the breathing rate drops below 8 breaths per minute, a loud alarm will immediately sound and the red light will flash . This alerts parents to a crisis situation and allows them to respond immediately.

I got it from a friend and I can't praise it enough. Although the monitor rang about 3 times, who knows if it was justified and the child recovered in the meantime, or if it was a malfunction of the device. Anyway, I'm happy for him and I'd rather run 10 times pointlessly than miss something once. We've had it for half a year and in that time we've changed the batteries only once, they warn long in advance that the battery will have to be replaced in the near future, if it's already on the edge, it won't even start. It also survives my frequent transport to Grandma's and so far it hasn't affected the quality. Definitely 5 stars for me!

It works great, I must say that compared to competing products (I don't want to name names) it is easy to use, because looking for a miniature button drowned in a hole is a real joy when you are sleepy at three in the morning - and here the start button is large, accessible, an important parameter for me, which I appreciated only when I tried others. I can only recommend!
