Anxin
Description Anxin
The information in the FAQ section was created by the Liki24.fr team and is based on the official manufacturer's manual
Anxin is a dietary supplement formulated based on a synergistic complex of standardised plant extracts – Hypericum perforatum (St. John's Wort), Passiflora incarnata (Passionflower) and Camellia sinensis (Green tea) – which act complementarily to reduce symptoms of anxiety, restlessness and irritability, while supporting overall well-being and the ability to adapt to everyday stress. Designed for the natural management of mild to moderate emotional disorders, the product combines antidepressant, anxiolytic and tonic properties.
With its balanced composition, Anxin offers an integrative approach to mood disorders associated with chronic stress, mental fatigue and neurochemical imbalances, without inducing dependence or excessive sedation.
Forms of release
Anxin PlantExtrakt is available in the form of vegetable capsules, packaged in boxes containing 20 capsules for oral administration. Each capsule contains:
- Standardised extract of Hypericum perforatum – 150 mg (minimum 0.45 mg hypericin);
- Passiflora incarnata extract – 70 mg;
- Camellia sinensis leaf extract – 30 mg;
- Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, silica gel and magnesium stearate.
The pharmaceutical form ensures optimal bioavailability and controlled release of the active ingredients, maintaining a constant balance of the neurotransmitters involved in regulating mood.
Indications for use
Anxin capsules are recommended for:
- States of anxiety, nervousness and psychomotor agitation;
- Mild sleep disorders associated with stress;
- Irritability, mental tension and emotional fatigue;
- Difficulties concentrating caused by mental overload;
- Melancholy or mild mood disorders;
- Periods of difficult adjustment, such as major life changes, professional stress or exams.
Hypericum perforatum inhibits monoamine oxidase (MAO) enzymes and the reuptake of serotonin, dopamine and noradrenaline – key neurotransmitters involved in emotional balance – and has a natural antidepressant and anxiolytic effect.
Passiflora incarnata exerts a mild sedative effect by activating GABA receptors, reducing mental tension and promoting relaxation.
Camellia sinensis (green tea) has a tonic and antioxidant effect due to its L-theanine and polyphenol content, maintaining mental clarity and counteracting fatigue.
Dosage
For adults and adolescents over 14 years of age, the recommended dose is 1 capsule twice a day, taken 30 minutes before meals with a glass of water.
It is important not to exceed the recommended daily dose, as excessive dosing does not enhance the therapeutic effects but may promote adverse reactions.
Contraindications
The use of Anxin is contraindicated in the following situations:
- Known hypersensitivity to any of the product's components;
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding, due to the lack of safety data and the possible hormonal action of St. John's wort extracts;
- Children under 14 years of age, in the absence of adequate clinical studies.
People with liver or neurological disorders or a history of severe depression should consult their doctor before starting treatment.
Special instructions for use
During administration, it is recommended to avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet radiation, as St. John's wort can cause photosensitivity, manifested by skin reactions to light.
Concomitant administration with other supplements containing sedative herbs (valerian, melatonin, lavender) should be done with caution to avoid potentiating the hypnotic effect.
Side effects
In general, Anxin is well tolerated. However, in rare cases, the following may occur:
- Allergic skin reactions (rash, itching, hives);
- Mild gastrointestinal disorders (nausea, abdominal pain);
- Headache or dizziness in sensitive individuals;
- Drowsiness or, conversely, mild mental agitation;
- Photosensitivity – redness or burning reactions after exposure to the sun.
Side effects usually disappear when administration is discontinued.
Interactions with other medicines and food
Anxin may interact with numerous medicines, particularly due to its Hypericum perforatum content. Significant interactions may occur with:
- Hormonal contraceptives
- Anticoagulants (e.g. warfarin)
- Immunosuppressants (e.g. cyclosporine, tacrolimus)
- Antidepressants
- Antiretrovirals
- Theophylline, digoxin and antiepileptics
Overdose
No severe cases of overdose with Anxin have been reported. However, excessive administration may cause:
- Agitation, confusion, marked drowsiness or gastrointestinal disorders;
- In isolated cases, marked photosensitivity.
Treatment is symptomatic, and administration should be discontinued immediately.
Storage
Anxin should be stored at temperatures below 25°C, in a dry place, away from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Food supplements are not a substitute for a varied diet and a balanced lifestyle.
