Condrocare
Description Condrocare
The information in the FAQ section was created by the Liki24.fr team and is based on the official manufacturer's manual
Condrocare is a veterinary nutritional supplement designed to support the health of the musculoskeletal system in dogs and cats, and is particularly recommended in situations characterised by degenerative, inflammatory or traumatic processes affecting the joints. Joint disorders, such as osteoarthritis, hip or elbow dysplasia, orthopaedic trauma and age-related degenerative processes, are common problems in veterinary medicine, significantly affecting the mobility and quality of life of pets.
Forms of supply
Condrocare is available as oral tablets for administration to dogs and cats, designed to facilitate daily administration with food. The product is available in two pack sizes, suited to different durations of use:
- Condrocare 30 tablets
- Condrocare 90 tablets
Indications for use
Condrocare Stangest is recommended as a nutritional support in the management of various osteoarticular conditions in dogs and cats. Its administration is particularly indicated in the following situations:
- osteoarthritis and other degenerative joint conditions;
- hip or elbow dysplasia;
- trauma to the musculoskeletal system;
- the recovery period following orthopaedic surgery;
- joint stiffness and reduced mobility in older animals.
By providing nutrients essential for cartilage and through the anti-inflammatory properties of its ingredients (glucosamine, MSM, chondroitin, etc.), Condrocare helps maintain the integrity of joint structures and support mobility.
Dosage
Stangest Condrocare is administered orally, preferably with the daily feed. The recommended dose is 1 tablet (2 g) per 20 kg of body weight per day. For a more precise dosage, the administration schedule can be adjusted according to the animal’s weight:
- under 5 kg: ¼ tablet per day
- 5–10 kg: ½ tablet per day
- 10–20 kg: 1 tablet per day
Contraindications
Condrocare for dogs must not be administered to animals with known hypersensitivity to any of the product’s components.
Furthermore, it should be used with caution in animals with severe medical conditions or undergoing complex treatments; consultation with a veterinarian is recommended before starting treatment.
The product is intended exclusively for veterinary use and must not be used in species other than those indicated.
Special considerations for use
An important aspect of administering Condrocare is the synergy between the structural and anti-inflammatory ingredients. Glucosamine and chondroitin contribute to the synthesis of the cartilage matrix, whilst hydrolysed type II collagen helps maintain the elasticity and strength of the articular cartilage.
MSM provides biologically available sulphur, essential for the structure of connective tissues, and the omega-3 fatty acids from krill have well-documented anti-inflammatory properties. Acerola extract, rich in vitamin C, acts as an enzymatic cofactor involved in collagen synthesis and the antioxidant protection of tissues.
Side effects
Condrocare is generally well tolerated by dogs and cats, and adverse reactions are rare when the product is administered as recommended.
In isolated cases, mild digestive disturbances may occur, such as abdominal discomfort or temporary changes in appetite. These symptoms are usually self-limiting and do not require discontinuation of treatment.
If unusual or persistent reactions occur, administration should be discontinued and consultation with a vet is recommended.
Interactions with other medicines and food
In general, Condrocare can be administered concurrently with other veterinary products or with special diets intended for animals with joint conditions.
However, in the case of animals undergoing anti-inflammatory or analgesic treatment, an assessment by a vet is recommended to determine the optimal treatment regimen.
Administration with food is beneficial as dietary lipids facilitate the absorption of phytocannabinoids from hemp, increasing the product’s efficacy.
Overdose
There is no data to suggest the occurrence of severe toxic effects in the event of accidental administration of doses higher than those recommended.
However, overdose may cause mild digestive disturbances, such as diarrhoea or abdominal discomfort. In such cases, it is recommended to discontinue administration and consult a vet for a clinical assessment of the animal.
Storage conditions
The product should be stored in its original packaging, in a dry place and protected from direct sunlight.
It is also recommended to store the product at room temperature and keep it out of reach of children.
