Diakof

Himalaya Diafok is available exclusively as a syrup, packaged in 100 ml plastic bottles fitted with an easy-to-use dosing system. 

The liquid form allows for easy administration and rapid absorption of the active ingredients, and is suitable for both children and adults who may have difficulty swallowing tablets.

Himalaya Diakof syrup is indicated as an adjunct in:

• maintaining the health of the upper and lower respiratory tract;
• dry or productive cough associated with a cold;
• irritation of the throat, pharynx and vocal cords;
• respiratory disorders caused by viscous bronchial secretions;
• supporting the immune system during periods of increased risk of infection.

Thanks to its composition, the product can help maintain airway patency, soothe irritated mucous membranes and improve general well-being.

Himalaya Diakof syrup should be administered according to age:

• Children over 1 year of age: 5 ml 3 times a day and, if necessary, 5 ml 4 times a day;
• Adults: 10 ml 3 times a day and, if necessary, 10 ml 4 times a day.

Shake the bottle before use to homogenise the contents. Do not exceed the recommended doses and the product is not intended for use over very long periods without medical advice.

Diakof syrup is contraindicated:

• pregnant or breastfeeding women;
• people with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients;
• children under 1 year of age;
• in cases of complete urethral obstruction, according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Due to the natural ingredients, slight variations in colour, taste or consistency may occur between batches, without compromising the quality or efficacy of the product. 

Diakof syrup is a food supplement and should not replace a varied and balanced diet or any medication prescribed by a doctor.

In general, Diakof syrup is well tolerated. However, excessive consumption may cause a laxative effect, due to the presence of plant extracts that affect bowel movement. 

Allergic reactions are rare but possible, and manifest as gastrointestinal disturbances or skin reactions; in such cases, use should be discontinued.

No significant interactions with commonly used medicines have been reported. 

However, caution is advised when taken alongside other cough medicines or supplements with an immunostimulant effect, to avoid overlapping effects. There are no specific dietary restrictions associated with the use of Diakof syrup.

Inform your doctor if you are undergoing treatment for serious chronic conditions.

Exceeding the recommended doses may cause digestive disturbances, particularly a laxative effect. In the event of accidental overdose, it is recommended to stop taking the product and, if symptoms persist, to consult a doctor.

Diakof cough syrup must be stored in its original, tightly closed packaging, protected from light, heat and moisture, at temperatures below 25 °C. Keep out of the reach and sight of young children. Observe the expiry date printed on the packaging.
