Pilorix

Pilorix is available in the form of capsules, packaged in a box of 30 capsules, which covers a standard two-week administration period.

The chosen pharmaceutical form allows for effective release of the active substances into the gastric environment, protecting the integrity of the probiotics and the plant extract.

One Pilorix capsule contains 100 mg of stabilised Lactobacillus reuteri, 75 mg of deglycyrrhizinated extract from licorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) and 80 mg of calcium (in the form of calcium carbonate).

Pilorix capsules are mainly indicated for:

• Reducing Helicobacter pylori colonisation of the stomach, according to available clinical studies
• Supporting digestive health by maintaining physiological gastric acidity, protecting and regenerating the affected gastric mucosa and alleviating dyspeptic symptoms associated with infection
• Preventing and alleviating digestive discomfort caused by antibiotic treatments.

It is intended for children over 12 years of age and adults.

For optimal effectiveness, the following regimen is recommended for children over 12 years of age and adults: 2 capsules per day, taken 20–30 minutes before main meals for two consecutive weeks.

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. The duration of treatment may only be extended on the advice of a healthcare professional.

Although it is a product with a high safety profile, Pilorix Fiterman should not be taken in the following situations:

• Known hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients or excipients
• People with hypercalcaemia or severe kidney disease that contraindicates additional calcium intake
• Children under 12 years of age, due to the lack of relevant clinical studies for this category

Pilorix is notable for its effectiveness independent of antibiotic therapy – the stabilised strains of Lactobacillus reuteri maintain their viability and efficacy even during antibiotic treatment.

Pilorix is easy to administer and does not need to be taken concomitantly with other gastroprotective supplements.

Pilorix treatment is generally well tolerated. However, in rare cases, the following may occur:

• Transient abdominal discomfort (bloating, flatulence) – associated with the introduction of probiotics
• Hypersensitivity reactions (skin rash, itching) – in individuals sensitised to any of the components

If any side effects occur, stop taking the product and consult a doctor.

Due to its liquorice extract content, Pilorix may interact with certain medicines such as anticoagulants, diuretics, antihypertensives or digoxin.

Concomitant use with other calcium-rich supplements should be avoided to prevent excessive intake.

It is advisable to consult your doctor about any other medications you are taking for chronic conditions to prevent possible interactions.

No cases of overdose with Pilorix have been reported. However, excessive consumption may cause:

• Hypercalcaemia (in case of very high intake of capsules above the recommended limit).
• Digestive imbalances (constipation, nausea).

In such situations, it is recommended to discontinue use and consult a doctor.

To maintain the efficacy and stability of the product, it is recommended to store it at temperatures below 25°C, in the original packaging, away from light and moisture.

Keep out of the reach and sight of small children. Preferably consume before the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
