Lepicol

Lepicol is available in powder form, packaged in 180 g bottles. This form allows for flexible dosing, tailored to the individual needs of each patient. The powder is administered dissolved in water or juice, ensuring rapid dispersion of the fiber and optimal bioavailability of the active ingredients.

Lepicol with high fiber content is recommended in many clinical and physiological situations:

• Chronic or occasional constipation, by increasing stool volume and stimulating peristalsis
• Diarrhea and irritable bowel syndrome, where the balance between fiber and probiotics helps normalize transit
• Bloating and abdominal discomfort associated with imbalances in the intestinal flora
• Detoxification of the body, by supporting the efficient elimination of digestive residues
• Restoration of intestinal flora after antibiotic treatments or when traveling to areas with a high risk of digestive infections

Lepicol powder contains five probiotic strains: Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Bifidobacterium bifidum, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus plantarum, and Lactobacillus bulgaricus. Their presence helps maintain balanced intestinal flora, strengthen immunity, and inhibit the growth of pathogenic bacteria.

Adults should take 1–2 teaspoons (2.5–5 g) dissolved in 250 ml of water or juice, once or twice a day. After consumption, it is recommended to drink an additional glass of water. It is recommended to start with a low dose, which can be adjusted gradually.

Children should be given half the adult dose, only under parental supervision; for children under 11 years of age, it is necessary to consult a doctor.

Lepicol is contraindicated in several situations:

• Allergy to milk or soy (ingredients used in the fermentation process)
• Intestinal obstructions, strictures, or recent surgery on the digestive tract, in which cases administration must be preceded by medical advice
• Individual hypersensitivity to any of the product's components

The product is a dietary supplement and does not replace a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.

It is recommended to consume immediately after preparing the suspension. Administration without sufficient fluids may cause choking.

Does not affect the ability to drive vehicles or operate machinery.

Lepicol psyllium husk is generally well tolerated, but the following may occur:

• Temporary abdominal discomfort (bloating, cramps), especially at the beginning of treatment
• Rare allergic skin or digestive reactions in people sensitive to milk or soy
• In case of accidental overdose, diarrhea or increased intestinal peristalsis may occur.

Concomitant administration with antibiotics may be beneficial, as probiotics help protect the intestinal flora. However, an interval of at least 2 hours between taking antibiotics and Lepicol is recommended.

Psyllium fiber may reduce the absorption of certain medications (e.g., antidiabetics, antiepileptics, thyroid hormones). It is recommended to wait 1–2 hours between taking Lepicol and other medications.

Overdose is rare, given the high safety profile of the product. Ingestion of large amounts may cause:

• Diarrhea, abdominal cramps, electrolyte imbalances due to fluid loss
• In severe cases, dehydration, requiring symptomatic treatment and hydroelectrolytic rebalancing.

Store at room temperature in a dry place, away from heat sources and direct light. Does not require refrigeration. Keep out of the reach and sight of small children. Observe the expiry date stated on the packaging.
