MagAnghinar is available in tablets, in bottles of 40 or 60 tablets.

Each 385 mg tablet contains 250 mg of artichoke leaf extract, together with organic magnesium salts and excipients such as maize starch, maltodextrin, magnesium stearate, talc, honey and hydroxypropylmethylcellulose. 

MagAnghinar Hofigal is recommended for a wide range of clinical and functional conditions, particularly those associated with the hepatobiliary and digestive systems:

• supporting the normal functioning of the liver and gallbladder;
• stimulating bile secretion and circulation, with beneficial effects on fat digestion;
• facilitating the elimination of toxins through the activation of liver detoxification processes;
• contributing to cholesterol and lipid metabolism, helping to maintain a normal lipid profile;
• supporting digestive health by optimising digestion and reducing the feeling of heaviness after meals;

The dosage regimen for adults involves taking 2–3 tablets three times a day, 10–15 minutes before meals, for a maximum of 30 consecutive days, with the option to repeat the treatment after a one-month break, up to 2–3 times a year. 

For children aged between 3 and 7 years, the recommended dose is half a tablet three times a day, before meals, whilst for children aged between 7 and 15 years, one tablet three times a day is recommended, always before meals. 

According to the manufacturer, Hofigal MagAnghinar is generally well tolerated and has no reported contraindications at the usual doses. However, caution is advised in the following situations:

• pregnancy and breastfeeding (use should only be on the advice of a specialist);
• severe liver, biliary or kidney disorders;
• hypermagnesaemia (high levels of magnesium in the blood);
• known hypersensitivity to artichoke or other plants of the Asteraceae family.

Discontinue use if any adverse reactions occur. As artichoke stimulates bile flow, this supplement is not recommended for people with severe biliary obstruction. 

Consumption should be part of a balanced lifestyle and should not replace a healthy diet. MagAnghinar is lactose-free and suitable for people with lactose intolerance.

Side effects are rare and, when they do occur, are generally mild. They may include:

• mild gastrointestinal disturbances (nausea, mild cramps, increased bowel movements);
• allergic reactions in people sensitive to plant extracts;
• symptoms associated with excess magnesium (in the event of prolonged overdose), such as diarrhoea.

If symptoms persist, it is recommended that you consult a doctor.

Artichoke extract may interact with:

• choleretic or cholecystokinetic drugs, enhancing their effect;
• treatments for dyslipidaemia, affecting lipid metabolism;

In the absence of data on significant interactions, caution is advised when used in combination with complex liver therapies or treatments for serious chronic conditions.

Overdose is rare, but may cause severe digestive symptoms (diarrhoea, abdominal cramps), due in particular to excess magnesium. 

In such situations, administration must be stopped immediately and the patient must be assessed by a doctor to determine whether intervention is necessary.

The product should be stored at room temperature, between 15 and 25 °C, and it is important to protect it from moisture and direct sunlight to maintain its stability. It is recommended to store the supplement in its original packaging and avoid freezing. 

Furthermore, MagAnghinar must be kept out of the reach of children and must not be used after the expiry date of 2 years indicated on the packaging.
