Akoneuro

Akoneuro is available as coated tablets, packaged in boxes containing 20 coated tablets. This pharmaceutical form ensures the stability of the active ingredients, convenient administration and good digestive tolerability, contributing to user compliance with daily dosing.

Akoneuro is indicated to supplement the diet with nutrients that support the proper functioning of the nervous system and is recommended as an adjunct in:

• peripheral neuropathies of various aetiologies (metabolic, mechanical, toxic);
• low back pain and lumbosciatica with a neurogenic component;
• memory, concentration and cognitive performance disorders;
• states of nervous exhaustion and mental fatigue;
• conditions characterised by high oxidative stress, including in the context of ageing or chronic diseases.

The complex formula aims both to support neuronal metabolism and to protect nerve structures from the degenerative and inflammatory processes associated with oxidative stress. 

The recommended daily dose is 1 coated tablet per day, to be taken preferably at the same time each day with a glass of water. Adherence to the recommended dose is essential to achieve the beneficial effects and maintain an optimal safety profile.

Akoneuro is contraindicated in cases of hypersensitivity or allergy to any of the product’s components. The preparation is not intended for children, pregnant or breastfeeding women, due to a lack of sufficient data on safety of use in these populations.

The alpha-lipoic acid contained in Akoneuro has the unique property of being soluble in both water and fats, which allows it to reach most of the body’s tissues and cross the blood-brain barrier. This property gives alpha-lipoic acid an important role in protecting neurons and supporting brain energy metabolism.

Uridine monophosphate is a source of uridine, a compound involved in the synthesis of membrane phospholipids and in neuronal regeneration processes. 

Akoneuro is generally well tolerated. In rare cases, mild adverse reactions may occur, such as gastrointestinal disturbances, nausea or allergic skin reactions. The onset of any unusual adverse effect requires discontinuation of treatment and consultation with a specialist.

No significant interactions with other medicines or food have been reported when Akoneuro is used as recommended. 

However, in the event of concomitant administration with chronic treatments, such as anticoagulants or antidiabetic drugs, caution and medical consultation are recommended.

There are no data indicating significant risks associated with overdose, but the recommended daily dose must not be exceeded. In the event of accidental administration of a quantity greater than that indicated, medical supervision and symptomatic measures are recommended.

Akoneuro must be stored in its original packaging, at room temperature, protected from moisture and direct light. The product must be kept out of the reach of children and must not be used after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
